Last week, Chris’s cousin Danica and her husband Scott stayed with us for a few days. They were moving from California to Virginia and our house was just about the half way mark, so Danica, Scott, their Doberman Silvy, the cat, AND the horse stayed for three days!! We set the horse up with some friends of ours that have a farm, and Dalton L-O-V-E-D going out to the farm and seeing all the animals!!
Right now they have an orphaned calf they are bottle feeding.
They also have an orphaned foal. He’s about a month old at this point and just cute as he can be!!
Dalton also liked the Donkey…he had never heard a donkey brey in real life before, and he just laughed!!
One of the barn cats. :) For barn cats, theirs sure were friendly. There was only one that wouldn’t let us pet it, but all the rest just followed Dalton around like he was the best thing ever.
They have a couple goats, too, Bonnie and Clyde. Our friends were trying to get them used to kids, so they had Dalton chase them around quite a bit. Oh, poor Bonnie and Clyde, you guys better run!!
Here is Scott giving the horse a little exercise.
And Dalton getting in some love…
Dalton found the horseshoe pit, too.
I just love this picture. I really wish that we had some land and could have a little farm…I’ve always loved horses. Maybe some day!!
